Livelihood Initiatives – Community Foundation for Children and Aging

Livelihood Initiatives

The CFCA women beneficiaries of Prayagraj Food Processing Units have made remarkable strides in their entrepreneurial journey by successfully selling 800 kg of pickle. Further strengthening their venture, they also secured a government-installed shop, providing them with a dedicated space to expand their sales.
In a significant opportunity, the CFCA women beneficiaries were allotted two shops at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, one of the most revered Hindu pilgrimages and a UNESCO-recognized cultural event. This platform allowed them to display and sell their Income Generation Program (IGP) materials and food processing unit products to a vast and diverse audience.
To facilitate their participation, meetings were held with the Nagar Nigam Circle Officer and the Horticulture Department staff to discuss the logistics of shop installation and ensure smooth operations at the event. This initiative not only enhances their market presence but also supports their journey toward economic empowerment.
